We haven’t had a Mitsubishi dealer here in Madison, WI for several years. The dealership group that operated a Mitsubishi store next to their Ford showroom closed the Mitsu wing and made it into more space for Ford. But a new player has entered the Mitsubishi fray.

Back in April, I took a vacation to Puerto Rico, and one of the most common new cars in San Juan was the Mitsubishi Mirage. This stood out to me because here in Madison, there are hardly any Mitsubishis left, and even in places that have Mitsubishi dealers, you don’t really see many Mirages. So thanks, San Juan, for reminding me that the Mitsubishi Mirage is a new car that exists.

(I’m pretty sure this picture was not taken in San Juan.)

A couple days ago, I got an ad on Facebook which graciously informed me that a local sleazy COME ON DOWN EVERYONE GETS APPROVED dealership, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , is now a Mitsubishi dealer.

Kinja'd!!!

Not only can EVERYONE GET APPROVED on questionable used cars, now they have the option for brand new Mitubishis, apparently.

Kinja'd!!!

Their commercials, which can all be seen thanks to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , are horrible.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Their reviews on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! are about what you would expect for such a business.

The “website” for the new Mad City Mitsubishi consists of a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and all it has is a contact form, where if you submit your contact info, you will probably be endlessly hounded to COME ON DOWN EVERYONE GETS APPROVED RIGHT NOW FOR A BRAND NEW MITSUBISHI YOU OWN IT NOT A LEASE .

Kinja'd!!!

Something tells me you’re not going to get a call about low low prices on an Evo like in this picture, but you may get to be part of making a huge bang in Madison . That’s an activity I’m heartily in favor of.

Mitsubishi must be really desperate to get back in to the Madison new car market to have added these guys.

Well they are in “mad city”, or they know something we don’t.

I heard a radio advertisement for a new Mitsubishi dealer here in SC. I had a “What year is it?!?!” moment.

I think it’s cause some banks won’t lend money on cars at used car places, and since it’s technically a Mitsubishi dealer, it’s a new car dealer. They may sell new Mitsubishis, but the real profit is in used cars. http://www.roswellmitsubishi.com/used-inventory/index.htm

I dunno, whenever I’ve gone to get a loan on a car the bank has asked if it’s new or used, and private party or dealer. They didn’t ask whether the dealer sells new cars.

The place you linked lists 94 new Mitsubishis on their website in addition to all those used luxury cars. The place here has been a shady “come here if you have bad credit” used car dealer for a long time and only now is adding new Mitsubishis. They don’t even list prices on their website, every single car says “get e-price” and makes you fill out a contact form.
